Fine Arts
Band
Part of the Fine Arts Department, Band provides students with an opportunity to learn using hand's-on processes. It challenges students to improve individually and as a member of a group. They have the opportunity to travel, learn using diverse methodology, use different parts of their brains for learning, and to develop skills not used in traditional classroom experiences.
Studies show that students who participate in fine arts programs learn spacial, social and communication skills that further enhance their success in other academic areas.
