Jentsie Johns, Principal

Principal's Message

Welcome to Tallapoosa Primary School, whether you are new to the Tallapoosa community or returning, we are glad to have you here. We are working hard to engage and inspire all students and stakeholders in meaningful educational activities so our students are prepared for great leadership opportunities in the future.  We are continuously prioritizing the curriculum and checking for understanding so we can provide students with appropriate support or acceleration.
We strive to develop an environment that is safe, warm, supportive, and collaborative. The beliefs that guide us at TPS are that people come first, learning is our focus, and we desire to inspire greatness!  As a PBIS school, we’ve developed a comprehensive, school-wide approach to building a highly effective, positive school climate. We encourage students to remember the Rebel way and consistently make three choices; be highly responsible, courteous, and safe. Respect implies value therefore it is a key principle that we value and uphold. We expect students and stakeholders to respect themselves, respect others, and respect things. As students leave TPS, our goal is for them to feel inspired and prepared to be the great leaders they are called to be.
Please know that everyone at TPS is here to support you and your child. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call or email. We have an open-door policy and look forward to hearing from you. The phone number is 770-574-7444.
