Student Government (SGA) - Sponsor: Esther Partridge

The purpose of Student Government at HCHS is to improve communication and encourage cooperation between faculty, student body and the administration while promoting interest and participation in school activities; therefore, developing responsibility, leadership, and citizenship within the school environment and community. Student Government schedules and coordinates class officer elections, student government elections, and homecoming activities including Mr. Homecoming, homecoming dance and parade. Student Government has conducted a Driving Expo and blood drives in the past and currently hosts a talent show each spring. They also provide food, clothing, and toys for local needy families and assist St. Jude and March of Dimes with fundraising. Members also work in the soup kitchen at the Christian Council Coalition Center.
