Georgia Milestones Testing

Students at the high school level take a Georgia Milestones end-of-course assessment in eight courses to provide information about how well they are mastering the state-adopted standards in the core content areas:
Language Arts
  • Ninth Grade Literature and Composition 
  • American Literature and Composition
  • Coordinate Algebra
  • Analytic Geometry 
  • Physical Science
  • Biology
Social Studies
  • United States History
  • Economics/Business/Free Enterprise

School Hours

Immediately upon arrival: 
Students must leave vehicle and enter the school building.
Students arriving before 7:50 a.m. must report to the cafeteria.
7:50 a.m. - Cafeteria monitors direct students who are not eating to move to the gym.
The gym remains locked until 7:50 each morning.
8:20 a.m. - Morning release bell to go to first class of the day
8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Regular school day hours
4:00 p.m. - Dismissal to buses, cars, and school-sponsored after-school activities
Students who drive and do not have a school-supervised activity are expected to leave campus upon dismissal.
4:30 p.m. - Teachers are free to leave campus if they are not supervising an after-school activity.
